Dear Sir/ Madam :

I am pleased to invite you to attend our next Capacity Building Training Workshops on Sustainable Development to be held in our facilities in Bellevue, United States on 19th - 24th October 2015.

The Training Workshops:
This program is designed for people who plan to work or volunteer in community development, or who already work in this field and want to advance their careers.
You will be prepared with practical tools to meet today's challenges as project directors, community leaders, grassroots activists, funders, and field workers in community-based organizations and governmental and non-governmental organizations.

With a wide variety of electives, you are able to tailor the program to meet your needs and interests.

The objectives of the program are to help you learn through case studies, exercises, and group discussions, providing a complete learning environment. You will learn from, and share experiences with, practitioners working in the field around the world. This program gives experienced practitioners a fresh perspective and provides novices and volunteers the training they need to be successful working in the field of development.

Benefits & Outcomes:
Our courses are ideally suited for organizations and individuals working in multi-sector, regional/cluster, integrated, and intermediate development projects where communities are free to determine their own development priorities. For individuals and organizations working on single-sector projects, our training programs can give you tools to determine the appropriateness of your development intervention based on community-determined priorities.

The ACT Coalition’s training programs will benefit development practitioners, project directors, and volunteers working with local or international NGOs. Government officials, funding agencies, community leaders, extension workers, and relief workers making the transition to development (or post disaster reconstruction), students, and academics will also find these courses useful for their work and studies.

Program Description:
More than 20 topics will be covered during the workshops including: Microfinance and the Role of Women, Local Communities and Climate Change Mitigation Strategies, Social Entrepreneurship and Enterprise Development, Financial Management, Fundraising Techniques. The complete courses list and details are available on: www.act-coalition.org/events/trainingcourses.html

About Border Health Mission to DR/Haiti

My photo
Manzanillo, Montecrisit, Haiti-Dominican Border, Dominican Republic
The Foundation “Health for All” is pleased to launch the 1st Border Health Mission (BHM) to the Dominican Republic. Established by local concerned health professionals in 1990, FUNTOSALUD (from its Spanish acronyms) is a humanitarian healthcare and aid provider in bateyes and the border town of Manzanillo, Montecristi province, in the Dominican Republic. Our foundation is cognizant of the multidisciplinary/multilingual team approach required for any successful mission, specifically a Border Health Mission (BHM), looking to socially impact the lives of the most economically disadvantaged community members. After 30 years working along the Haitian-Dominican border, we are convinced that this unique multi-disciplinary/cross-cultural approach is the most efficient modus operandi to improve the health of those who reside at the border and within the bateyes.
